End of Year Greetings from Marlins 2024

Dear Friends,

Another year is coming to an end, and we would like to express our heartfelt and sincere gratitude for your commitment and collaboration throughout 2024.

This year has amazed us in so many ways. Development is progressing strongly across all departments of the association. We have grown to over 50 members! We see more and more people finding valuable communities in our water polo training program at all levels, and membership has increased across nearly all age categories.

On the water polo front, we experienced amazing events, remarkable achievements, and new records throughout the year. One of the highlights was our first-ever participation in the HaBaWaBa competition in Italy, where a team from Jerusalem competed against teams from Australia, France, Hungary, and Italy. It was an exciting first-time experience, despite having no prior experience, limited equipment, and lacking a high-quality pool—what we had was a dream. This was in addition to the records we set. "To this day, we have water polo goals made of plastic pipes, and we aspire to have aluminum goals like all the clubs in the world".

In the events sector, we were overwhelmed by the interest of participants who enjoy playing water polo. Despite the challenging circumstances our country is going through, we aspire to participate in competitions and events in 2025 and to host clubs in the near future. This reflects the fact that Jerusalem is an attractive destination, allowing us to share our message with the world.

We are also dedicating our time to initiatives led by the heart of our turquoise-blue club. Among these are efforts to create a water polo team for individuals with special needs. Children with minor physical disabilities will be included in our swimming and water polo teams as we implement a plan to integrate them in the upcoming season.

Additionally, we launched a website ahead of 2025 to share team news and events. We look forward to hosting friendly matches and participating in international summer competitions. Overall, we are excited for an exhilarating year and a vibrant water polo season.

Thank you so much for your commitment to the team—whether as a volunteer, member, partner, coach, sponsor, staff member, or board and committee member.

We would like to thank the Frere College in Jerusalem for its generosity towards us, especially the school administration, the sports staff in the previous period, and the players with whom we spent the most beautiful times and played together.

We wish you and your loved ones a happy, peaceful, and fulfilling New Year filled with energy.
